You Already Know All the Answers

You learn in personal development that life is a journey, not a destination. We’re all connected. This became even more apparent to me over a year ago when talking with my wife’s (Arni) dad. He was suffering from dementia and going from a state of being very coherent one minute and the next incoherent. In [...]

Is Fear Holding You Back?

Is Fear Holding You Back?

You learn in personal development that life is a journey, not a destination. A friend of mine shared this with me. Yesterday I read an article about  a guy called Ronald Wayne who decided to pull out of his friends’ new computer company in 1976 after 2 weeks because he was afraid he could be [...]

How to choose a home business

How to choose a home business

Selecting a home based business.

If you’re in the process of selecting a business or already have a business that you’re not totally elated with then you will find this very helpful. Before I begin let me be very direct with you. These will be my views based upon many years in this business with many failures and successes, and if I say something that offends you, you’ll get over it.

Before you start considering your business I want you to do something that may seem a little different but trust me it’ll get you in the best frame of mind before you begin. Write 10 things that you are grateful for: You can be truly grateful about anything- your family, the weather, food, love, a flower, or even a painting - you get the idea be personal with your answers, but before you start your list you must go to http://www.prosperyourmind.com/standup.htm and watch this video.

Now write down your goal of how much money you want to make in your first 12 months of business. And most importantly what would you do with that money and how would your life be different, what would it look like?

Now let’s look at the factors in your selection. These are the rules.
1. Select a business, product that you are truly passionate about.
2. Select a company that has been in business for at least 3 years.
3. Don’t read any rip off type reports they are all bias.
4. If you do a search on the company and see a lot of bad reports, good. That means they’re successful. Others are simply writing bad information in order to entice you to look at their business.
5. Do they have a system in place with training that you feel fits you. In other words you can see yourself doing it. And most importantly is it ethical by your standards.
6. If they do not have it on their website, and they should, make sure you get a copy of their income disclosure. If not at least 4%+ are making over what you want to make per year then walk away.
7. Don’t get caught looking for companies with the least amount of investment. Think about it, how many people are you going to have to bring in to reach your income goals. Also consider the lower the investment the more people are likely to quit because they do not have that much to lose.
8. Does the company have an in-house attorney responsible for compliance. Not only monitoring the company but also it’s associates.

One final thought. Please don’t buy into multiple streams of income scenario. Only people that have huge down lines can support this, because they can “drag” people from one company to another which I find to be not in integrity. You must focus and believe in one company only to be successful.
